Here are the details on how to fund your live trading account with GO Markets

GO Markets deposits all client funds into a separate client trust account (which is segregated from business operating funds) at a top-tier AA-rated Australian bank - National Australia Bank.

You can open accounts and deposit funds in:

  • Australian Dollar (AUD)
  • United States Dollar (USD)
  • Great British Pounds (GBP)
  • Euros (EUR)
  • New Zealand Dollar (NZD); and
  • Singapore Dollar (SGD)

* Please note that client funds may be used to fulfil our counterparty margining obligations, but they cannot be used to fund any business related expenditure such as office rent, utilities and employee payroll.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  • You should only use this page if your GO Markets account number begins with 5, 8 or 9.
  • You should NOT use this page if you are funding your GO Markets UK account or have an account number begin with 1. Please click here instead.

Deposit Methods

GO Markets do not charge any internal fees for deposits or withdrawals. International clients please contact your bank regarding any fees they may charge you for transferring funds. Credit card and PayPal transactions will incur fees charged by the processing institution - please see transaction costs below for more information.

We will always endeavour to credit your deposited funds** at the earliest possible convenience. However, please consider that at some times payment volumes may be at an unexpectedly high levels, and this, along with reliance on third-party payment providers may lead to depositing times varying from the estimate provided.

** We are unable to accept third-party payments, all funds must come from a bank account in the same name as your GO Markets account. If you are a joint account holder, any individual named on your joint GO Markets trading account can fund the account. This also applies to credit card transfers.

Please note that your trading account base currency will impact on the fee charged:

» Deposits made in AUD will incur a 1.8% handling fee.
» Deposits made in USD, EUR, NZD, SGD or GBP will incur a 3% handling fee.

GO Markets may, on occasion, cover these fees for clients. Please refer to our special promotions page to see if such an offer is in place.

* Some banking institutions may also treat funding your trading account with your credit card as a 'cash advance' or a 'purchase'. Please contact your own bank for details.

China UnionPay

Please note that your trading account base currency will impact on the fee charged:

» Deposits made in RMB will incur a 3% handling fee

GO Markets may, on occasion, cover these fees for clients. Please refer to our special promotions page to see if such an offer is in place.

* Some banking institutions may also treat funding your trading account with your credit card as a 'cash advance' or a 'purchase'. Please contact your own bank for details.

PayPal

The type of PayPal account, method of deposit and country of origin will impact on the fees charged by PayPal.

Fees can vary from zero to 4% but will generally be 2.7% for Australian clients and 3.7% for international clients. Please contact PayPal for exact details.

BPay

The type of bank account used and method of deposit will impact on the fees charged for BPAY.

» Deposits made from a debit account will incur NO fee.

» Deposits made from a Visa or MasterCard will incur 2% handling fee.

Bank to Bank/TT

All deposits made using an Australian banking institution in AUD should not incur any fees by your bank/institution. If you are making deposits in other currencies, please contact your bank for details on their fees.

For clients who are based outside of Australia, please contact your bank/financial institution for details of their fees. Please note that your bank may use an intermediary bank.

 

Refund Policy

In the event of a deposit with incorrect currency or from a third-party, we will endeavour to refund directly back to your Card/PayPal account. If that is not possible we will contact you for your bank details.
